At Bloom For Good, we love seeing how organizations use our American-made socks to fuel purpose, At Bloom For Good, we love seeing how organizations use our American-made socks to fuel purpose, passion, and progress. Today, weโ€™re excited to feature a guest post from Rural Leadership North Dakota (RLND), a program dedicated to building stronger rural communities and agricultural industries through leadership development.

A Creative Fundraising Partnership

In July 2025, RLND partnered with Bloom to launch their first-ever Sock Store scholarship fundraiser. The campaign showcased program pride in a fresh way while raising funds for participants.

By the end, RLND sold 246 pairs of socks and generated over $1,200 in scholarships for Class XI. This success proved that something as simple as socks can make a meaningful impact on rural leadership.

Why Scholarships Matter

The RLND program works in partnership with NDSU Extension, the NDSU College of Agriculture, Food Systems, and Natural Resources, and North Dakota 4-H. Together, they designed the fundraiser to expand access to leadership development opportunities.

Scholarships ensure that adult rural leaders can participate in high-impact learning experiences across North Dakota without financial barriers standing in the way.

Strong Results and Positive Feedback

The RLND team celebrated both the reach and success of the campaign. Custom sock designs became a highlight, and the process of creating and marketing the store ran smoothly with Bloomโ€™s support.

โ€œThe sock quality exceeded expectations. They are comfortable, durable, and most importantly, fun. Choosing which styles to include was the hardest part. The Bloom for Good team made the process easy, responsive, and energizing. We would absolutely work with them again.โ€

About the RLND Program

The Rural Leadership North Dakota (RLND) program is an 18-month statewide leadership development experience. It serves adults who want to strengthen rural communities and support agriculture.

Participants take part in:

  • Seven in-state seminars
  • A regional seminar
  • A national seminar in Washington, D.C.
  • An international study tour

The tuition of $4,500 covers part of the program cost. Sponsorships, grants, and fundraisers like the Sock Store ensure the program remains affordable and accessible to more leaders.

Taking the Next Step

At Bloom, weโ€™re proud to help programs like RLND connect fundraising to their mission.
